How to Rip DVD to HTC Evo 3D

HTC Evo 3D Review

The good: The HTC Evo 3D improves on its predecessor with a dual-core 1.2GHz processor and a larger battery. The Android Gingerbread smartphone also features a glasses-free 3D display and can capture 3D photos and video.
The bad: The smartphone doesn't offer much internal memory, and call quality could be better. The glasses-free 3D display has limited viewing angles and depth of field.
The bottom line: The 3D features are a fun addition, but it's the HTC Evo 3D's zippy performance and improved battery life that make this Android smartphone one of Sprint's best.

The HTC Evo 3D's design is updated but familiar, and anyone upgrading from the Evo 4G should feel right at home with the smartphone. At 5 inches tall by 2.6 inches wide by 0.48 inch thick and 6 ounces, the handset is roughly the same size as its predecessor. It's a good chunk of hardware, to be sure, but the Evo 3D feels narrower, so it's easier to hold and grip. It also has that high-quality construction we've come to expect from HTC, and we like the addition of the textured surface on back.

The phone is easy to use one-handed. As on the Evo, there are four touch-sensitive buttons below the display for the home, menu, back, and search functions. The smartphone offers both Swype and HTC's virtual keyboard for text entry. On the right side are a volume rocker, a large camera key, and a 2D/3D camera-mode switch, while a Micro-USB port sits on the left. The top of the device houses a 3.5mm headphone jack and a power button, with the front-facing 1.3-megapixel camera located just below it. On the back, you'll find the dual 5-megapixel cameras for 2D and 3D image and video capture.

How to Rip DVD to HTC Windows Phone 8X

HTC Windows Phone 8X Review

The good: The HTC Windows Phone 8X's edgy design joins forces with a top-of-the-line processor, LTE speeds, and great call quality.
The bad: This phone's 8-megapixel camera took a few poor pictures, the buttons are too flush, and the OS lacks some key apps.
The bottom line: With top specs and a striking design, HTC's Windows Phone 8X makes a smart choice for anyone ready to dive into the Windows Phone OS.

There are no two ways about it: the HTC Windows Phone 8X is the sexiest-looking smartphone I've laid my hands on in quite some time. At a glance, the slab-shaped HTC Windows Phone 8X looks like just about every other Android smartphone on the market. Step closer, though, and the signature Verizon red highlights jump out at you. While the handset is clad in stealth-bomber black, it's trimmed with red metallic stripes on either side. HTC says it was inspired by Lamborghini supercars when crafting the DNA. As for me, I just think the stripes, which are iridescent and perforated by tiny holes, look futuristic and striking.

How to Rip DVD to HTC Inspire 4G

HTC Inspire 4G Review

The good: The HTC Inspire 4G is affordably priced and boasts a large display. The Android 2.2 smartphone runs on AT&T's HSPA+ network and offers mobile hot-spot capabilities. New HTC Sense provides faster boot time and other enhancements. It also has an 8-megapixel camera that takes excellent photos.
The bad: The smartphone is rather large and heavy, and the battery cover is difficult to remove. We didn't experience great 4G speeds. AT&T blocks third-party apps. Lacks a front-facing camera.
The bottom line: Though dual-core phones are on the way, the HTC Inspire 4G stands as one of AT&T's best, high-end Android devices and is an incredible value.

The HTC Inspire 4G follows in the large footsteps of the HTC Evo 4G and HD7, measuring 4.8 inches tall by 2.7 inches wide by 0.46 inch thick and weighing 5.78 ounces. The size certainly makes holding and carrying the device a bit of work, but nothing you can't get used to with some time. Plus, all things considered, it's still a pretty slim device.

The Inspire features a 4.3-inch WVGA touch screen that delivers in sharpness and brightness, though colors do wash out a bit in bright sunlight. The roomy display makes it great for checking out Web pages and multimedia, and with the built-in accelerometer and pinch-to-zoom support, you can easily increase the viewing size. The touch screen was very responsive, as it immediately registered all our taps and smoothly scrolled through menus and lists. However, there was one instance where the screen got stuck in landscape mode, and we had to reboot the phone to correct the issue.

Below the display are the standard Android shortcuts: home, menu, back, and search. There's a volume rocker on the left side and a power button on top. Though the 3.5mm headphone jack has typically been on top of HTC's most recent smartphones, it is now on the bottom along with the Micro-USB port. Sadly, there is no dedicated camera button or kickstand.

On back, you'll find the camera and dual-LED flash, but HTC did a little something different with the battery door this time around. There are actually two removable pieces: one on the bottom and one on the right-hand side (when looking at the phone from the back). The former can be slipped off to access the SIM and memory card slots, while the latter provides access to the battery.

How to Rip DVD to HTC One V

HTC One V Review

The good: The HTC One V is affordable, compact, and elegant, and runs Android 4.0 and Sense 4. It has a nimble camera and colorful screen.
The bad: A slow processor and pokey 3G data hold the One V back.
The bottom line: Demanding Android fans won't like the HTC One V's slow performance but its premium design and low, no-contract price makes it a steal on Virgin Mobile.

One key to HTC's success in the past has crafting phones with daring designs. A excellent example was the HTC Legend, which was carved from a single block of aluminum. The HTC One V furthers the Legend's premium looks by flaunting its unibody aluminum chassis.

One key to HTC's success in the past has crafting phones with daring designs. A excellent example was the HTC Legend, which was carved from a single block of aluminum. The HTC One V furthers the Legend's premium looks by flaunting its unibody aluminum chassis.

Painted in a luxurious deep black, the One V's metal surface is matte, possessing an almost sandpaperlike roughness. Like its big brother, the HTC One S, the handset's texture absorbs moisture, repels fingerprints, and provides a sure grip.

The HTC One V takes another design element from the Legend playbook, a distinctive curved chin at the base of the phone. Love it or hate it, the One V's sloping bottom edge helps it stand out in a world filled with basic flat slabs.

With softly rounded edges and compact size, the One V's small stature also makes it a rare sight in today's smartphone market. Compared with the massive 4.7- and 4.8-inch-screened monsters filling store shelves, the HTC One V's 3.7-inch, 800x480-pixel-resolution LCD screen feels practically pint-size.

How to Rip DVD to HTC One X+

HTC One X+ Review

The good: The HTC One X+ has a quad-core processor, 64GB of storage, and Android Jelly Bean, plus a great camera, all for $199.99.
The bad: The HTC One X+'s battery life is short. The phone also lacks an SD card slot, and its battery can't be removed.
The bottom line: Although it does have some flaws, the $199.99 HTC One X+ is currently the best Android buy on AT&T.

The HTC One X+ is practically the spitting image of its predecessor the One X. Just like with that device, HTC chose to mold the One X + from a single piece of polycarbonate plastic instead of giving it the aluminum unibody construction the company's handsets have traditionally used. Even so, the black plastic material HTC selected (a hue the company calls Carbon) feels high-grade, not cheap. I also like the phone's soft-touch finish, which has a slatelike texture that wicks moisture away and absorbs fingerprints. Of course the One X+ isn't as flashy as the HTC Droid DNA, which flaunts slick metallic-red accents on its edges.

A flat slab that has smoothly rounded edges, the HTC One X+ is every bit as aesthetically ultramodern as its progenitor. While it isn't as chic as the white version of the One X (HTC also makes a black model), as I mentioned, the surface of this Carbon model doesn't attract smudges easily. Measuring 5.3 inches tall by 2.75 inches wide by 0.36 inch thick, the One X+ isn't small but has the same footprint as the One X. Weighing 4.76 ounces, the One X+ is a hair heavier than the 4.6-ounce One X. That said, the weight lends the plastic phone some solidity.

Gracing the front of the device is a massive 4.7-inch (1,280x720-pixel) Super LCD 2 screen. It gets very bright, brighter in fact than the HTC One S' qHD AMOLED screen and even the HTC Droid DNA's 5-inch (1080p) Super LCD 3 display. Viewing angles on the HTC One X+ are nice and wide, too, comparable with those of the HTC One S. Of course the One S' high-contrast display produces more-vibrant colors and darker blacks, which I prefer.

How to Rip DVD to HTC One VX

HTC One VX Review

The good: The affordable HTC One VX for AT&T serves up a modern Android OS, a dual-core processor, and a feature-rich camera. The phone also delivers rock-solid call quality and long battery life.
The bad: The HTC One VX lacks quad-core processing and a removable battery.
The bottom line: It may not be a fire-breathing superphone, but the HTC One VX offers plenty of Android goodness for under $50.

The HTC One VX certainly speaks the same design language as the company's other current handsets. In style you can think of it as a cross between the HTC One X+ and older HTC One S. The phone is sculpted from similar rounded curves, with a familiar flat, oval shape and minimalist aesthetic.

Unlike the One S, however, the One VX is crafted from lightweight plastic and not carved from a single block of aluminum. The One VX isn't molded from premium polycarbonate like the One X and One X+ are, either. That gives the phone a less expensive look and feel, though faux silver accents around the screen bezel and a clean white cover on the back lend the device some sophistication.

Measuring 5.3 inches tall by 2.7 inches wide and just 0.36 inch thick, the One VX is small enough to fit in the hand or slide into tight pockets. At 4.4 ounces, the phone won't weigh you down either, but has enough heft to feel substantial.

How to Rip DVD to HTC One S

HTC One S Review

The good: The HTC One S manages to pack Android ICS, Sense 4, and a feature-filled camera into one of the slimmest phones on the market.
The bad: The One S' svelteness comes at the cost of no SD card expansion slot or removable battery.
The bottom line: The HTC One S is the best phone you can get on T-Mobile (for now), wrapping Android 4.0, 4G data speeds, and a beautiful 4.3-inch AMOLED screen into one svelte package.

From the moment I placed the HTC One S in my hand, I was struck with how premium the phone feels. Luxuriously sculpted from a single block of anodized aluminum with smoothly tapered edges, the One S is sturdy yet manages to look finely crafted. That's a mean feat since the handset is breathtakingly thin, just 0.31 inch thick. In fact T-Mobile touts the HTC One S as its trimmest smartphone yet, edging out the Apple iPhone 4S (0.37 inch) and the Samsung Galaxy Nexus (0.4 inch), but not the original Motorola Droid Razr (0.28 inch).

Most of the HTC One S' front is taken up by its lovely 4.3-inch qHD (960 by 540) Super AMOLED screen. It paints images and video with vibrant colors, high contrast, and deep blacks. For example, watching HQ YouTube trailers on the One S is a joy. I ogled neon signs and skyscraper lights in nighttime New York cityscapes. Details such as the folds of leathery monster skin were crisp, just how I like it.
